My goal
I started off in Amazon business as a UX owner and designer for the AB's detail page experience with 2 goals in mind:
- Reduce clutter (information load)
- Make it absolutely relevant for customers
Key challenges
Detail page helps customer narrow-down their decision and evaluate the item against specific needs, but there are significant challenges like:
- Too much information
- Takes up too much time to evaluate
- Not catering to customer's specific needs
- Too many partners involved

Homepage

My goal
After 6 months of my tenure, I also took over UX ownership for the business homepage and realised the goal for landing page is to be:
- An assistant for everything customers want to achieve
- Diverge from traditional mechanisms to a more mission-focused experience
Key challenges
Homepage is more of a framework, where different partners own and provide content and thus, few challenges for me are to:
- Create a UX framework where different content cohesively exist to provide relevant experience
- Bring all stakeholders to a unified vision through the lens of customers
Current focus
Working closely with PM, UXM and senior leaders to create:
- Defining a UX framework vision for Homepage
- Contributing and supporting product strategy
- Delivering final designs as per guidelines
- Contributing to experimentation plans
- Getting leadership and partner alignments
